Your safety comes first, and we want you to feel fully informed about what’s in every Eastnat product before it reaches your table. This page covers the allergens and other sensitivities worth knowing about across our range, and how to reach us if you have questions about a specific product.

Allergens Across Our Range

Because several of our products are made from nuts, and others are prepared and packed in shared facilities, the following allergens can appear across our range:

  • Peanuts — present in our peanut butter, and possible in products made on shared lines.
  • Tree nuts — present in cashew nut butter and our roasted nut range.
  • Sesame seeds and soybean — may be present in some herbal teas, botanical extracts, and wellness herb blends.

If you’re managing a nut allergy in particular, please treat our nut butters and roasted nuts as containing nuts by default, and check the label on anything else before eating it.

Product-Specific Notes

Nut Butters & Roasted Nuts

Our peanut butter and cashew nut butter are made directly from peanuts and cashews — there’s no ambiguity there. Our roasted nuts range may include multiple nut varieties processed on the same equipment, so even a product that looks like a single-nut item may carry traces of others.

Honey

Honey itself isn’t a common allergen, but it should not be given to children under 12 months old, due to a small risk of infant botulism. If you’re preparing food for a baby, please keep this in mind and check with a paediatrician if you’re unsure.

Herbal Teas, Botanical Extracts & Wellness Herbs

These products are plant-based and formulated for general wellness, but some botanicals can interact with medications or aren’t recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you’re on medication, pregnant, or nursing, we’d recommend checking with your doctor or pharmacist before adding a new herbal product to your routine — particularly anything containing unfamiliar botanicals.

Seamoss Gel

Seamoss is naturally rich in iodine. If you have a thyroid condition or have been advised to watch your iodine intake, please check with your doctor before including seamoss in your diet.

Cold-Pressed Oils

Where any of our cold-pressed oils are derived from nuts or seeds, this will be clearly stated on the label. Please check before use if you’re avoiding a specific nut or seed oil.

How We Handle Cross-Contact

We take care in how we prepare, process, and package our products, but several items in our range are made in shared spaces using shared equipment. Because of this, we’re not able to guarantee that any single product is completely free of trace allergens, even where that allergen isn’t a listed ingredient.

Always Check the Label

Ingredients and allergen advice can change as we update recipes or suppliers, so the packaging in front of you is the most reliable source of truth — more so than anything printed elsewhere, including this page. If a label is missing, damaged, or unclear, please hold off on eating the product and get in touch with us first.

Questions About a Specific Product

Our Customer Care team is glad to talk through ingredients and sourcing with you, but they aren’t able to override or amend the allergen advice already stated on our packaging — that stays the reference point. If you have a question about a product you’ve bought or are considering buying, reach out and we’ll do our best to help before you make a decision.
